YOUTH GROUP SOCIAL - RACIAL PROFILING

The movie "Crash" will be shown at the next St. Aloysius Youth Group social on Sunday, January 22. "Crash" is a movie about the diverse melting pot of post-9/11 in Los Angeles. This movie examines fear and bigotry from multiple perspectives as characters careen in and out of one another’s lives. The purpose of showing this film is to educate others about bias, bigotry and racism. It will also serve to educate youth on diversity and show them that we can make a difference in the world by accepting and embracing people for who they are, not what they look like.

YOUTH GROUP SKI TRIP

The Youth Group will join the Archdiocese in their annual all night ski trip from February 3 to February 4. This is a chance for all of the young people in the Archdiocese of Chicago to get to know one another and also learn a thing or two about skiing. Currently the price of a ticket is $93. There is a discounted rate for youth that have filled out a Youth Group membership form.

Important Notes:

- Sign up sheet is located in the rectory.

- All minors must fill out a permission slip.

- Money is due: January 15

- Youth Group Membership forms must by in January 8 in order to qualify for discount.

- Youth with completed membership get price discounted down to $60.

- Read packet for all information regarding rules, clothing, agendas, etc.

The Youth Group would like to thank all those who showed their support by giving to the bake sales this past weekend. Thanks to your contributions the Youth Group was able to raise $498.01. This money will go towards helping us cover the cost of running events throughout the year.

Take a look at our new Youth Group Shirts! 

A special thanks goes out to everyone who gave their input and voted. With your help we were able to take bits and pieces from each shirt and make them into something everyone will be proud to wear. These will only be available for the Youth Retreat initially. If you would like a YG shirt, we can get them for you.
