Message From Our Pastor

Community Center Programs

We know that not every family can afford to make the same pledge, but every family CAN AFFORD to pledge something. Only you know what sacrifice your family is capable of making over the next three years. Of course, no sacrifice can be made without trusting entirely upon the Lord to guide us and to provide for us. We are hoping that the average pledge will be about $3,000 to paid over a three year time. This is less than $20 a week or $83 per month. If you need four or five years to pay, that’s fine. Another way of making your pledge is to think about using some of your income tax refund to pay your pledge. If you receive a bonus at work, you could use that to pay your pledge. Usually, refunds and bonuses are “extra” money which we use to splurge on something we want. For families who cannot afford $20 weekly, perhaps you can consider a smaller pledge. For those who can afford more, please consider a larger pledge.

It’s not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice!

Pledge Examples

An Average Family Pledge of $20 weekly means a total sacrifice of $3,000

Your Sacrifice of:

$3 weekly, $14 monthly       = $500

$6.50 weekly, $28 monthly  = $1,000

$13 weekly, $55 monthly     = $2,000

$16 weekly, $70 monthly     = $2,500

$20 weekly, $83 monthly     = $3,000

$32 weekly, $139 monthly   = $5,000

$48 weekly, $208 monthly   = $7,500

$64 weekly, $278 monthly   = $10,000

$96 weekly, $417 monthly   = $15,000

$128 weekly, $556 monthly = $20,000

Naming Opportunities

The opportunity to name a room or an area of the building in honor of your family or in memory of a deceased loved one is possible for significant gifts of over $100,000.00. The “naming rights” must be in accord with Catholic principles and approved by the Pastor and Archdiocese of Chicago. Cornerstone gifts of $20,000.00 and more will include a “cornerstone” inscribed in the entryway with the name of the donor and in whose memory the donation was made. Please speak directly with our Pastor, Rev.  Nicholas Desmond about various naming opportunities available.
